How important ..

Just how important is a group? Does a group name bring in the big bucks? As a buyer, do you look for the search terms BTDL, SPTD, PD4U or do you search by other words rather than group names?

Speaking as a seller, now that I am in a group, I see how important it is. i don't necessarily see profit yet, but I am new to ebay. What I love about my groups is the friendship, exchange of ideas and passion about scrappbooking.

If you're not in a group. That's okay. You're work will still sell. It's the commraderie that is special to me and the fact that in the future, I know I will see my sales go up!!!

I have been selling on ebay for approx. 4 yrs. off and on. I am a researcher and have a deep desire to know my competition and to see what is out there in the same category of selling. Before I was invited to join PD4U, I would do searches in my category of interest and when ever I saw a group's initials in the subject line, I would know in the back of my head that as soon as I opened that page, I'd be impressed by the talent, professionalism, and that it was going to be quality both in the item and sale of the item. I wanted to join a group but did not know how to. I did, at one point try looking up 1 group to see about joining but it was full and I didn't bother again. That was about 2 months ago. A few weeks or a month ago, I was invited to join PD4U and I was absolutely thrilled!!! I was on top of the moon and so was my husband. What an honour to be part of a group of ladies that are so talented and genuinely care about each other and their success both in the professional aspect and personal. I have had an increase in viewers, watchers and I can say that my sales have increased since joining. Whether it is because of being part of a great group of ladies both at PD4U and DBPP, I'm not sure but I do believe that buyers feel more confident and comfortable with sellers who belong to groups. I am new to DBPP and thrilled to be part of 2 great organizations.
Thanks everyone for your continued support and professionalism!! Together, we'll make it!!!

I totally agree with above, I never searched group initials but I knew the groups and knew when I saw an auction with a specific group near it that I would be impressed. I do think those in groups have an increase in sales over those not in groups, however I only searched for what ever event I was scrapping not groups. I am so stoked that I have been invited to be a member of SPTD, Thanks gals!!
