Earlier this week I was asked, what benefit is there to being in a design group? Well there are the obvious and I know my answers .. but what do you think? What benefits have you seen in your own personal experience?

Auctions that have a design teams abbreviation in the title are more searched. There are thousands of paper piecings, premade pages and albums, I think that people will just search for well known design teams, because they know that what they are getting is quality, and that way they don't have to "weed" through the items that aren't so great. From my experience items do sell higher in a design team.
The people in design groups are more willing to share info and help each other.
I LOVE my group of girls *SMIC*
As part of the team I have a group to bounce ideas off of and get honest feedback from. Challenges push us and swaps help us share products from across the country. I don't feel lost because I know I always have my girls to turn to!

Since staring my design team (MBDT) last September I have found friendship and support through my fellow teammates. I think it is important to be part of a well known team because it shows your worth as an artist, it is easier for buyers to find your work and I really think members of design teams known for their high quality of work tend to sell their work for more money in the end.
